| Resumen, etc. | Bolivia se constituyó en territorio libre e independiente el año 1825, pero tuvo que reconstituirse en muchos niveles. Potosí había significado, durante el periodo colonial, un importantísimo centro económico, pero al fundarse Bolivia enfrentó una realidad muy distinta. Se había generado un receso productivo, por lo que los primeros gobiernos republicanos trataron de mitigar la paupérrima situación económica generando algunas políticas públicas para la otrora Villa Imperial de Potosí. Durante el gobierno de Antonio José de Sucre se buscó interesantes alternativas para la reactivación del centro minero, muchas de ellas orientadas a la industria argentífera, y otras a una mejor distribución de los ingresos públicos, pero lastimosamente estas interesantes políticas públicas no dieron resultado en una realidad carente de capitales materiales y humanos. |

| Resumen, etc. | Bolivia was constituted as a free and independent territory in 1825, but it had to be reconstituted on many levels. During the colonial period Potosí was a very important economic center but, when Bolivia was founded, it faced a very different reality. By the time, a productive recess was generated, reason why the first republican administrations tried to mitigate the very poor economic situation by generating some public policies for the Imperial Villa of Potosí. TheAntonio Jose de Sucre's administration looked for interesting alternatives for the reactivation of this mining center, many of them directed to the argentiferous industry, and others to the better distribution of the public funds. Pitifully, these interesting public policies did not succeeded as aresult of a reality lacking of material and human capitals. |
