A brief account of the production, resources, metallurgy, and uses of cadmium was given as a chapter in mineral resources, 1908. A more detailed report is in preparation and will be published as a bulletin of the United States geological Survey. The present report gives the production of cadmium in the United States since the beginning of the industry in 1907, the chief sources of the metal in the United States, the principal uses, the imports for 1903 and later years, the range of fluctuation in price in 1917, and the yearly average selling price since 1907.
